What we do
St Giles delivers evidence-led, trauma-informed services that address poverty, violence & exploitation and involvement in the justice system. Our work focuses on people facing the highest levels of disadvantage, where unmet need drives demand across health, justice, housing and social care.
Founded in 1962, we combine lived experience, professional expertise and strong partnerships to deliver early intervention, prevention and long-term rehabilitation. Our services are designed to reduce harm, improve outcomes and deliver measurable public value.
Our approach
- Lived-experience leadership combined with professional training
- Relational, one-to-one support tailored to individual need
- Strong local partnerships across statutory and voluntary sectors
- Proven outcomes and strong return on investment
- Alignment with national priorities across justice, health, housing, employment and safeguarding
St Giles works at the point where systems intersect and risk is highest. We are a trusted provider and partner for anyone seeking effective, integrated solutions that reduce demand on public services, improve safety and enable people to build stable, independent lives.
Poverty
Through our Pantry network and employment support services, we help lift people out of poverty and move towards independence
Violence & exploitation
We help keep children and young people safe through preventions and interventions for those already involved in violence and exploitation
Justice
We work with people in prison and after their release in the community to help individuals rebuild their lives and reduce re-offending, alongside supporting diversion from custody
Cymru
